It was a gorgeous day at the Institute, coaxing the witch from her Daddy’s suite and out into the quad for a little picnic. As always - when her magic was working properly, that is - she was accompanied by her favorite stuffie Freddie Teddy. Lilim had spread a blanket out and was focused on unloading the contents of the picnic basket the Master’s cafeteria had packed for her when her beloved teddy bear wandered over to someone else. Only upon hearing unsettling noises did she look up, giggling as she realized the stuffie had begun crawling up someone’s leg. “Freddie, no!” Not that she meant it much, not really. Seeing people’s reactions to the disturbing bear always brought her immense joy.
Rosamund’s classes had been going well. She was thankful for the studying habits she had acquired while living with Billie, otherwise she would be a disorganized mess with her education. Although her progress seemed to be slower than that of her peers, she was starting to get the hang of things, and that was what mattered the most. However, her slow acquisition of spells meant that she was still rather defenseless, and more similar to a regular human than the powerful witch she thought she should be. Therefore when a strange creature began to climb on her leg, the fear paralyzed her. She immediately stopped walking and dropped her books when she realized there was a horrifying little critter staring up at her, but she didn’t scream, she only froze for a few moments before instinct kicked in and she raised her hand and whispered a spell… but all that came out was a small explosion of watery snow that ended up coating them both. She did not even hear the woman speaking to her, she was only focused on the disturbing Teddy, her eyes glued to it.
Her days had been relatively calm and quiet. Rosamund spent most of her time studying or exploring when she was not in class, not doing much for her social life just yet. The whole fun college aspect could wait, there were powers to be unlocked, strengths to be discovered…
And christmas shopping to be done.
Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year, she and Cole would help Billie prepare food, they would decorate some rooms on the house, and Billie would give them nice presents. Rosamund knew she had to send something back to her, she thought about books or maybe a painting, but she wanted to buy something rare and exotic, something that could only be bought in a place like this. But, after the third boring store, she was starting to lose hope. She eventually made it to some fancy yet generic clothes store, where she ended up looking at purses and the like. She stared at them for a few moments, before turning briefly towards the woman beside her and blurting out: “Do you know what can I get for a workaholic with no friends?”
Her years serving the rich and powerful had taught her many things, mostly to be humble and submissive, but she eventually figured out that some of her bosses enjoyed someone with more wit, someone that could tease them a little, and maybe pull a laugh or two out of them. Her instincts immediately told her she was one of those people. The reaction she got from Lyssa with her comment made the witch feel proud of herself, she seemed to have finally found a way to explore the darker parts of this place. “She happens to already be cursed, and, believe it or not, the strongest of poisons might kill her, but she would just be back in a few days. You can’t quite kill what she is, although it’s not what I’m looking for either.” She explained. Billie never spoke about what it was like to be a revenant, but Rosamund had done some research herself. She found undeath fascinating, it made her think about her future, of how to live beyond these limiting human years. “But… I wouldn’t mind a detour to these stores that sell curses and poisons. I might find something good for her there!”
Lyssa’s attention is soon stolen by a piece of fabric, turning to run her fingers through the rack while the other woman speaks. “That’s a shame.” She sighs and plucks a short green dress, holding it up to herself before scrunching up her face and throwing it away. “Killing is the best part, but…” She begins and walks closer to her. “…that doesn’t mean you can’t make their long life incredibly torturous.” A smile spreads across her painted lips. “You can come with me.” The vampire waves her hand and a worker follows with her bags, her eyes motioning for the brunette to follow her. “I’ll take us there.”
Rosamund frowned when Lyssa’s attention got captured by the dress, not a fan at all of not being the center of attention. She holds it back, however, and quickly returns to her relaxed smirk once Lyssa comes closer to her. The witch looks her up and down, before looking at the woman’s worker and staring at the bags. “Still a fan of simple pleasures, I see.” She teased. “I’m ready to go.”
Rosamund enjoyed listening in on strangers’ conversations, more than once she had been asked to spy on guests back when she was a servant, so it came naturally to her. She was good at blocking out the mindless jabber and focusing on conversations which could hold relevant information, but there was no ignoring the very sudden, very crude conversation this man seemed to be having. She let out a snort as she walked past and briefly stopped just to glance at the passerby’s he was staring at. “He doesn’t really look like the kind that begs, more like the other way around if you ask me.” She muttered, letting a tiny smile form on her lips.
Dom chuckled at the response he had gotten “Hmm, that’s what makes it better. Having a tough guy like that, begging for me. Truly that would prove how powerful I can be.” he purred. “I want him to beg to be inside me, beg me to give him the privilege to spend the night with me”
Rosamund continued to listen to him with a smile, the conversation quickly turning interesting to her. “Tsk, what makes you think you’ve got that sort of power?” She asked, sliding over to his side and glancing at him briefly, but her attention was focused mostly on the man. “Bet you can’t even get his number.” She spoke in such a calm tone that the taunt in her words could almost be subtle.
Dom sat in the quad on a patch of grass, cigarette hanging from his lips as he watched other students and masters walk by. “I’d fuck him…Probably not him. Hmm..I’d let him beg for me” he muttered to himself, as if doing a little hot and not list, not realizing someone had been able

Rosamund giggled at the stranger’s first comment, although she discarded the idea fairly quickly and she shook her head. “I don’t think she would appreciate a present like that, especially coming from her daughter.” She explained with a shrug. “Maybe something a little milder. I was thinking clothes but…” she glanced at the rack by her side briefly, before looking at Lyssa again with a charming little smile. “This island surely has stores that sell rarer items, yes? Magical relics, or maybe ancient books! Or at the very least some weird magical liquor, maybe?” She mused, looking Lyssa over for a moment as she hummed quietly. “Maybe you could help me out finding an item like that. Unless you’re human, or just… boring.”
The corner of Lyssa’s lips turn up into a smirk when the other woman laughs and slowly she plucks her sunglasses from her nose before pushing them ontop of her head. “Who knows? Maybe it’s just what she needs.” The vampire says with a sigh as a clerk runs up with a shirt she waves away in annoyance. “Me? Boring? How silly of you, you’ve come to the right person.” She laughs as though it’s so farfetched to think. “Do you want to curse her instead?” She asks, perking up and taking a step towards her. “Poison her maybe? Now that would be a fun way to end a shopping trip.” Lyssa says with a devilish smile.
Her years serving the rich and powerful had taught her many things, mostly to be humble and submissive, but she eventually figured out that some of her bosses enjoyed someone with more wit, someone that could tease them a little, and maybe pull a laugh or two out of them. Of course this was where Lyssa shone, shopping had become almost second nature to her now and she’d already made herself well known at the shops on the island. The vampire raises a brow before tilting her head down to look over the rim of her sunglasses at the stranger speaking to her. She had been slowly walking down the aisle and waved an obnoxious hand at the nearest staff member when she was interrupted. “A really handsy secretary?” Lyssa suggests with an amused smile before taking in the other woman. “If they have no friends, why are you buying them a present?”
Rosamund giggled at the stranger’s first comment, although she discarded the idea fairly quickly and she shook her head. “I don’t think she would appreciate a present like that, especially coming from her daughter.” She explained with a shrug. “Maybe something a little milder. The young woman seemed to be completely unbothered with his sudden appearance, her charming smile remained before she began to explain: “It’s a little pumpkin, of course! I made it with light.” She explained, her hands extended a little closer to the pumpkin and then it started transforming again, taking the vague shape of a longsword. “And now it’s a little sword.” She added, giggling. “I’m Rosamund, it’s very nice to meet you, Donnie.”
Donnie watched her, completely enthralled by what she was doing. “That’s amazing,” he whispered. His eyes widened and a rare grin spread across his face. “Really amazing.” He chuckled a little bit. “It’s nice to meet you too, Rosamund,” he said as he extended a hand out towards her.
Donnie’s grin was enough to make Rosamund feel a familiar pang of joy which suddenly also felt rather nostalgic. The young witch had been conditioned her whole life to bring happiness to other people. To entertain guests and owners with her speech and limited magical abilities. It suddenly made her want to show off some more, but her magical tricks only went so far, so she simply waved off the sword in a small burst of floating golden dust, before focusing her attention back to him. “I’m glad you liked it, Im hoping to learn some new tricks while im here.” She commented, before looking at him over. “Say, are you human or something else? Maybe you could lend me a hand!”
Rosamund walked the streets quietly, with the tiniest of smiles on her face as she looked around. Finally she was out into the world, ready to explore her powers and her new life as a free woman! Also, this was going to be her first proper Halloween, so things could not get any more exciting for the witch. As she looked at the decorations around her she could tell that they were big fans of the festivity in this place, she certainly had to go buy herself a costume soon, or she could risk being left out.
The woman was brand new to the island, and seemed to be completely unbothered by the slave and master dynamic they had going on. She had no collar around her neck, so why should she be concerned? For the first time in her life, she wasn’t the one that had to kneel and obey.
The young witch finally stopped walking right in front of a shop that was filled with Halloween decorations, she stared at the little paper skeletons and witch hats on the window, but most of her attention was caught by a carved pumpkin. Instinctively, she turned slightly, bringing her hands closer together as she looked at it, tiny sparks of light forming close to her fingertips until a shiny orb was formed between them, it resembled the pumpkin, vaguely, but it was a pretty little thing nonetheless, and pretty much all she could create with her very limited abilities. Her trance was broken when she suddenly got the feeling of being watched, and turned slightly to look at the stranger with a charming smile and a simple wave. “Hi.” She said happily, before extending her hand with the orb of light to this stranger. “I made this, do you want it?”

Malakai had been having a wonder and enjoying the halloween festivities when he saw someone playing with a pumpkin like orb and he found it fascinating, staring at her. When she acknowledged him, he moved forwards and held the orb, “Holy shit, I am literally holding magic” he said as he bit his lip, “Holding freaking magic”. He was wearing his genderbent Harley Quinn outfit, the shortest shorts and nothing on his top half, “I’m Malakai”.
Rosamund couldn’t help but giggle at his reaction, she found it adorable and wanted to see it again. So, the witch moved her hands a little closer to the orb and turned the pumpkin into a mildly blurry witch hat, which she then brought to the top of his head and let it float above it like a halo. “And now you are wearing magic, how does it feel?” She asked with a smile. “I’m Rosamund, it’s lovely to meet you.”

Donnie was looking for Halloween decorations. He may have not struck much as the type to be festive but Halloween was one of those nights where he could fully embrace what he was and no one would ask questions. He enjoyed it and now that he truly felt settled here, he wanted to enjoy it.
That’s how he found himself shopping. He was just thinking to himself that he normally didn’t go shopping on his own but here he was. He was making his way through the shops, when he came upon the same one Rosamund was at. His eyes wandered down to the light and then back up to her.
“I didn’t mean to sneak up on you,” he chuckled, offering her a light smile, before his eyes wandered back down to the orb again. “What is it?” he asked, but holding his hand out the same. He licked his lips a little bit and sighed. “I’m Donnie,” he said.
